Account Levels
There are four levels of account for monitoringpoint.com, and your monthly tariff is determined by your account level and how many readings you accumulate in your account. This information sheet will help you to decide which type of account is best suited to your needs. The two main factors that will influence your account level are the number of projects you are running and the number of readings these projects will produce.
Additional site drawings can be authored for £50 ($100) each.

Readings
A reading is defined as a single discrete value measured at a specific time, regardless of how many parameters the sensor is monitoring. For example a sensor that is reading temperature and humidity at the same time will produce 2 readings each time it measures. The readings limit is based on the number of readings stored on the monitoringpoint server. For example if your operations are uploading 5,000 readings a week then you will have 260,000 readings at the end of year 1 and 520,000 at the end of year 2.
Projects can be archived whenever required without charge, and redundant readings can be removed from your account.
What if I exceed my readings limit?
If the maximum permitted readings for your account level are exceeded during the final two months of your contract term, and providing such excess is less than 50%, then you will be permitted to continue at the current tariff until you are due to renew your contract. If you exceed your limit earlier in your current term then you will be invited to either reduce your accumulated readings or step up to the next account level.
Site Drawings
A monitoringpoint project can include one or more background drawings to show the spatial location of each monitoring point. These drawings can be engineering based representations, mapping data, photographs or aerial imagery. Our technical staff will convert your drawings to the required format for the site as soon as you upload the files. Most generic types of vector and raster formats can be converted.
Branding & Web Address
The Corporate and Enterprise accounts allow you to create a branded version of the monitoringpoint.com system with your own colour scheme and web address. The only reference to the host provider that users see is the trademark “powered by monitoringpoint.com” at the foot of each page.
Contracts and Payment
The minimum contract term is six months, but signing up for 12 months gets you two months of Tariff-free use, so you only pay for 10 months. Monthly tariffs for the entire contract term are payable in advance.
